Angelo Merani is a civil litigator experienced in corporate, construction, privacy, intellectual property, and class action law. He has advocated at all levels of court and in various alternative dispute resolution processes. He joined Nicol Law to provide exceptional, versatile, and creative legal services to his clients in a connected and accessible setting.
Angelo holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Alberta and a Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He is an alumnus of the Institute for the Future of Law Practice.
Prior to a career in law, Angelo spent almost a decade as a project manager in the oil and gas and non-profit sectors. He is heavily involved in the community – currently volunteering with Calgary Legal Guidance and previously with the Initio Law and Technology Clinic, Pro Bono Dalhousie, Student Legal Guidance, Zebra Child Protection Centre, and Amnesty International, to name a few.
Angelo loves to spend his off-time playing sports, playing guitar, reading, video gaming, coding, traveling, or otherwise in search of a new experience.
